A GIFT OF PIANOS PROGRAM

Plamondon School Donation Piano

CSPT is happy to participate in and support the Chicago Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild Gift of Pianos donation program.

The School has, so far, hosted in-house approximately a half dozen pianos through the program for donation on to deserving recipients. Since only members of the Chicago Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild may participate, students at CSPT are encouraged to join the PTG in order to assist in this effort.

For details of the program or to find out how you can help, or to donate/receive a piano, go to http://www.pianofortefoundation.org/a-gift-of-pianos/ or contact rhapsody@pianofortefoundation.org, or call 312-291-0291. Announcements of activities and donations will be regularly noted at this location.

As of October 20th, 2009, Mitchell Elementary School has received a wonderful piano to further the education and enjoyment of music! Thanks to the volunteered time and craftsmanship of Associate Technician Maria Pollock under the supervision of RPT John Blessing, this donated Baldwin console has been given another opportunity to shine, and to ensure that music education prospers in Chicago. Our sincere thanks to Alfredo Monje of Hanover Park for donating this piano to the program.

A Knabe upright was delivered to Bret Harte Elementary School in the Chicago neighborhood of Hyde Park this morning. This piano was worked on extensively at CSPT by Chicago Chapter member and recent CSPT graduate Christa Andrepont under the supervision of Paul Revenko-Jones, RPT.
